Note from Our Founder

I’m a trained journalist-turned-self-care coach who’s been building community online and off since 2008. Every job I’ve ever held (from the nonprofit world to entrepreneurship) I’ve found some way to bring people together around a common goal.

Here at the Suite, the goal is building strong networks so self-care becomes second nature.

For black women and other women of color, self-care is often the only thing standing between us and utter exhaustion. We’re building businesses, raising children, striving in our careers, taking care of home and we’re tired. We’re one good “Hey Ma, what’s for dinner?” away from quitting everything. Throw the whole day away.

That’s why I created the Self Care Suite. Because I knew the thing that made my life more manageable, more enjoyable was the fact that I had a big crew of women in my life who encouraged me, energized me and kept me sane when life threatened otherwise.

Now I regularly engage more than 1,200 women in our daily coaching group, the Self-Care Suite. Here, we host annual retreats and quarterly sister circles for women to learn from each other.

So how do you get started? Check out the blog, join our free support group or make plans to join us at one of our events this year. Stay in the loop by hopping on my Substack. It is a privilege to sit in the front row as women discover who they really are.

Welcome to the Suite.
