19 Black-Owned Wellness Businesses That Will Save Your Summer

save your summer.png

Can we start this by saying that 2020 has been throwing blows left and right and we just need a collective minute to catch our breath before the next inevitable thing?

This year, we’ve had to dig deeeep into our wellness toolkit to help us navigate these big, uncomfortable emotions that the triple whammy of crises — COVID, finanical, racial — have uncovered. It’s taken everything we’ve got to make it to June.

So we figured this list would be welcome.

We’ll be replenishing our toolkits and at the same time, helping black-owned small businesses weather this storm and make it to the other side. We’ve seen stats about how the concurrent crises are decimating black businesses, which are typically the ones operating on a shoestring budget due to a lack of capital in the first place. The fact that coronavirus aid programs denied the majority of black applicants was a secondary blow. Let’s do our part to help turn it around.
